Children's Network Vision
Psalm 78:1-8
O my people, hear my teaching; listen to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter hidden things, things from of old- what we have heard and known, what our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands. They would not be like their forefathers - a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to him.
Tell " The Next Generation" of the awesome things God has done, not only through Bible stories but in our own lives!! Then they will put their trust in God! We want this to be a generation of "Daniels"! The book of Daniel is centered around this truth - God is Sovereign! Daniel put his trust in God no matter what the circumstances were. He knew that God was working out his plan for nations and individuals. This scripture tells me that our kids don't have to go through rebellion to have a wonderful testimony. Look at Daniel!! He was obedient and God used him mightily!!
God has a plan for our children here at Living Stones - He wants to use them mightily!! What an awesome privilege it is to be a part of raising up this generation to the call God has on their lives. I know inside they are willing and waiting, they just need us to guide them. Let's begin to "train them up in the way they should go", so when they are older they will not depart from it! Let's help them to put their trust in God and His Word no matter what the circumstances are around them. Let's help them to find their security in the sovereignty of God, and to find their comfort in His Spirit!
I am believing and expecting God to move in a mighty way upon our children. They are going to be life changers and kingdom builders!!
