ChicaGO Update
It is with great joy that we bring you our first month's ChicaGO update! We have not only launched, but we are climbing in altitude! Thanks so much for being part of this history making church plant. Without your faithful faith-promise support and prayer, we could not have done what we did in this initial month. God has been honored through your giving!
We are glad to report that we have two meetings a week going on right now. On Monday nights at 7:30 PM, Anthony Imbrone and Roy Miller's men's lifeGROUP are meeting. They have around five men getting together regularly and have had several walk-in visitors, including a Muslim young man who was interested in knowing more about what we believe. Also, the owner of the Ethiopian Coffee Shop next door, David, has said we would like to come whenever he can.
Our SUPERlifeGROUP format on Thursdays at 7 PM is always full of surprises as to who will show up! The first week we had about 20 folks respond from our two ETHNIC EMBRACE outreach weekends, as well as about 20 Living Stones helping us to greet, love, and pray for people.
The second week, two ladies returned, but we had seven totally new people from many different nations - Russia, Jamaica, Nepal, and Ghana, just to name a few. Pastor Dick shared that this church would be a House of Prayer for ALL nations and began explaining the elements of prayer using the Lord's Prayer model. We finished with praying for each other. While the meeting was going on inside, several of the team were passing out invitations in front of the building, praying for people at the bus stop, and witnessing at tables outside over coffee.
The third week, Brian showed up, saying that, "Every time I walk past this building, I feel that something (someONE) is drawing me in!" People who had already attended started returning with testimonies of answers to prayer. We started breaking into small groups following the teaching and had great one-on-one time getting to know people and praying for their individual needs.
Last week, as we completed our first month, we had great reports: Alex got a job . . . Irena found a new apartment right before her deadline to move out . . . a young man was healed. We also have formed a solid core team of Pastors Dick and Susie, Harvest, Bro. Brad Stanley, Pat and Sonia McPhillips, and Rex, Dawn, and Julia Magagnotti.
Your faithful giving goes to pay our $2000/month rent, utilities, our lighted sign out front, and the refreshments that we serve each week. We ask that you give the first Sunday of each month if at all possible, so that we know what our monthly budget can be. MARK YOUR CHECK CLEARLY FOR CHICAGO and put fund code #2063 in the memo section. The offering may be put in the mission pots or given to Pastors Dick or Susie. However, if the check is not clearly marked, it may go toward the general mission giving instead of being designated for Chicago. Please help us with this. If you desire reoccurring monthly giving to be taken out of your checking account, or if you wish to use a credit card, contact Matt Inama at

Thank you again! We look forward to each of you coming to visit on a Thursday night to see the great things that God is doing in the most ethnically diverse zip code in America!
